The nature and dynamics of world religions: a life-history approach
Introduction
World religions are characterized by a unique emphasis on extended
pro-sociality, restricted socio-sexuality, delayed gratification and the belief
that these specific behaviors are sanctioned by some kind of supernatural
justice. Life history theory examines how organisms adaptively allocate
resources in the face of trade-offs between different life-goals. This
framework explains both the promotion of ‘slow' behaviors such as altruism,
self-regulation and monogamy in modern world religions, and the condemnation of
‘fast' behaviors such as selfishness, conspicuous sexuality and materialism.
Also this about how individual including humans adjust towards life strategies
through the environment.
To address the problem this study will show how people adjust their life
strategies and explain why world religions are associated with a form of ‘slow'
strategy.
Purpose
The
purpose of this studies is to describe why world religions appeared with the emergence of urban elites who adopted
slow life-history strategies. It will also explain the fast and slow strategies
and framework.
Description
Having
knowledge about why and how individual adjust their life strategies on the
environment and what are the differences of fast and slow behaviors or
strategies. This will enlighten us why world
religions appeared with the emergence of urban elites who adopted slow
life-history strategies. Slow strategies were progressively adopted everywhere
and world religions became truly popular. Changes in environmental
conditions, and evolved human responses to these changes, provide the key to
understanding these massive historical and cultural transformations. That more
people adopt slow strategies due to the favorable ecology in which they live,
the frequency of individuals with a fast strategy is mechanically reduced. In
that new environment, it becomes superfluous to invoke supernatural punishment
in order to convince others to shift from a fast to a slow strategy.
Objectives
The
objectives of this study is to give knowledge and understanding towards the
topic which is about the Native and Dynamics of World Religious: Life History
Approach. And also to adopt the strategies and approach of this study. And also
discussing the
Methodology
In this study, it shows about the world religion and its life history approach. It deals how humans or individual adjusting their life to survive. By making recommendation and sharing my knowledge about this study I can share what I learned about the life history approach that is connected with everyone. Making them understand different things is such a very big help fort them. And lastly why we shouldn’t take religiosity for granted.

MEGATRENDS AND CRITICAL THINKING IN THE 21ST CENTURY CULTURE

The Culture of 21st Century Education
It's a term that we've all
heard. Many of us utilize it on a regular basis. And we probably all have a
hunch about what 21st-century learning or education entails. Can we, however,
define it? Education in the twenty-first century does not consist of a group of
pupils sitting silently in tidy rows at their desks, noting down every word the
teacher says or writes on the whiteboard or projector. It's just not teaching
to the test, teaching children what they need to memorize to obtain an A, thinking
that every child is on the same track, or judging schools or teachers purely on
average ACT scores and college acceptance rates. Educators' responsibility in the
twenty-first century should be to assist every student in learning how to
learn. It encourages creativity, collaborates, expects and rewards critical
thinking, and teaches children not only how to communicate, but also how to
communicate effectively. These are the abilities that students will need to
succeed in today's and tomorrow's unpredictable workplaces. And in order to do
so, we must examine every aspect of our educational institutions. What is
essential and what isn't? Which components of the curriculum focus on creating
abilities that students may use for the rest of their life rather than
memorizing knowledge for a test? How are we consciously creating the
competencies and capabilities that we want our students to be able to build on
when they graduate? Education
in the twenty-first century must respond to the rapid economic, technological,
and sociological changes that are occurring. It's an education that prepares
kids for a world where more than half of the jobs they'll have in their
lifetime don't exist yet. In a nutshell, it's an education that equips pupils
with the knowledge, skills, and abilities they'll need to succeed in the
twenty-first century.
COMMUNITY, ENGAGEMENT, SOLIDARITY AND CITIZENSHIP
https://ssir.org/articles/entry/community_engagement_matters_now_more_than_ever
Community Engagement Matters
Community engagement matters. There
are numerous advantages to community engagement. The basic goal of public
participation is to encourage citizens to participate in the decision-making
process in meaningful ways. As a result, public engagement allows for
communication between decision-making agencies and the general population. This
communication can serve as an early warning system for public concerns, a means
of disseminating accurate and timely information, and a tool for long-term
decision-making. Though
public engagement in planning and decision-making processes has many benefits,
it also has certain drawbacks. Participation by the general public can be
time-consuming and costly. Organizations must build capacity and train
employees in order to do so effectively. When done incorrectly, public
engagement methods can lead to a loss of trust in the agency. Participants may
have poor judgments of the outcome as a result of their unpleasant experience
with the process, and they may be less likely to engage in future procedures. The process of
involvement must be guided by a common goal, with the nature and scope of the
work clearly specified. This includes making sure that the process is open to
the public so that they can observe what's going on and how decisions are made.
The players' duties and procedural ground rules must be clearly specified. A
right of appeal is not included as a principle because it is currently not
conceivable under the law.
CREATIVE NONFICTION

Cultivating Convergence through Creative Nonfiction: Identity, Development, and the Metaphor of Transfer
The structural barrier that has prevailed traditionally among
compositional and creative writing syllabuses, as well as the social science
focus of much transfer terminology, that could feel incompatible with methods
to practicing and teaching creative writing, may account for creative writing's
lack of representation at the transition desk. The writer asserts that the
liminality of creative nonfiction in terms of genre and curricular placement
that may provide an opportunity for sustaining writerly identity across
contexts that are due to author relation fostered in the genre as well as
workshop cultivation often practiced in creative writing. The creative
nonfiction class, in this light, becomes a curricular pivot, enhancing
learners' self and effectiveness. Some
form of fruitful cross-fertilization has occurred in her student career and in
her life. How often do we get to watch all of the puzzle pieces fit together in
such a beautiful way? The metaphor of "coming together" is a natural
one, and it's a frequent approach to depict the process of realizing a writer's
potential. However, another metaphor has saturated the area of education in
general and composition studies in particular to characterize the way authors
evolve, and that metaphor is the mentioned another of "transfer." The
author also considers the limits and implications of a transfer model to
describe learning especially for writers and suggest an alternative that
focuses on development rather than transfer through a different metaphor, the
convergence. In this light, the creative nonfiction course might be a
particularly fruitful sponsor of such development and some of the literature on
writing transfer in order to introduce the possibility of convergence with its
particular function to creative nonfiction.
CREATIVE WRITING
https://scholarworks.rit.edu/cgi/viewconten.cgi?article=1223&context=jcws
Why Writing Matters
Writing matters because it improves our interaction and critical
thinking abilities. It also allows us to express who we are as individuals. Our
ideas and learning become evident and permanent when we write them down.
Writing improves our ability to communicate and clarify our thoughts to others
and to ourself. The art of writing based on Delbanco, the author of the
article, still seems to be grounded in an act of imitation. It is though
imitation he argues that originality is discovered, an argument. Delbanco's
view of writing as an apprenticeship, "the time-honored mode of study that
absorbs the work of others until it becomes one's own" and that finally
leads to mastery through continual study and practice, is informed by this
perspective on writing on the role of imitation as a technique of writing
pedagogy. Why Writing Matters is notable for the emphasis
Delbanco places on the significance of effective writing pedagogy: to teach
writing well, he contends, is an art form in and of itself, something that is
all too frequently overlooked in the quantitative academic milieu in which many
of us find ourselves. Furthermore, teaching writing is not about producing an
assembly line of writers who just repeat their teacher's voice (an experience
all too typical in some of our educational institutions, and one that stifles
the growth of some potentially excellent writers). His idea of a successful
workshop is the one that produces twelve separate styles, twelve voices
achieved and distinct. The necessity of writers establishing themselves amid
the body of their fellow writers, and therefore identifying the precise
branches of the literary tree along which they have evolved, is another
important aspect of Delbanco's teaching philosophy. It's a method that
emphasizes how everything related to writing is interconnected and has some
prior resonance; we all live in the past, while simultaneously emphasizing that
one of the writing teacher's primary responsibilities is to discover literary
and cultural forefathers.
DISCIPLINE AND IDEAS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES
https://theconversation.com/the-conversation-partners-on-2m-research-policy-project-to-mitigate-covid-19-pandemics-social-impacts-150476
It is said that the COVID-19 is a brand-new disease caused by a coronavirus that has never been seen in humans before. Scientists are learning more about the virus every day because it is so fresh. COVID-19 can cause serious disease and even death in persons who have it, despite the fact that most people who have it have moderate symptoms. Severe illness is more likely in specific groups, such as the elderly and those with specific underlying medical disorders. It is stated in the article that they are deepening their commitment to address issue by bringing their editorial expertise to the IPPO. It is also said that the IPPO will build bridges in the middle of policy and research and will focused on mitigating the biggest social impacts of COVID-19. The Conversation's participation in the IPPO will be administered by just an online services department headed by Matt Warren, a former deputy editor, and will be separate from the editorial operations. This project, led by a newly-hired editorial manager who will report to Matt, will provide a special page, evidence briefs, and case reports, assuring active and approachable output. The IPPO will play a crucial role in legislators' actions to the pandemic, providing rigorous and relevant observations based on data, analysis, and evidence. It will also give "Living Maps" of evidence and policy that will be updated on a regular basis to assist in sifting through the massive quantity of social legal and practice solutions on COVID-19. This will create a public database of research important to COVID-19 policy decisions, as well as enable direct access to the most up-to-date information.
