The nature and dynamics of world religions: a life-history approach

I.  Introduction

There are growing appeals that world religion being associated in the form of slow strategy. It is said that world religion can be defined as a slow strategy than fast strategy in human’s life strategy. Surprisingly, fast strategy is more widely used in the regions of Eurasia and this phenomenon has been widely observed why world religion is being associated in the form of slow strategy and when did Eurasian people starts to adopts it.

II. Statement of the Problem

The aim here is to investigate why world religion is associated in slow strategy and how the people in Eurasia region adopts this strategy. What did they realize upon being under Archaic religion? In that realization, does it affect their beliefs enough to abandoned fast strategies and accept the world religion? Why did world religion occurs late in other civilizations?

It has been said that living organisms, including humans, adjust their life strategy to the environment in the means of phenotypic plasticity. Is it the main reason why Eurasian people starts to adopts slow strategy?

III. Value of the Study

The findings for the study will be helpful to the following parties:

Educators that seek for answers why world religion is a form of slow strategy, how Eurasian accepts world religion.

Researchers who will try to identify further areas in this study to form a new body of knowledge that can help future researchers.

IV.  Definition of Variables

What is life strategy?

In this study, we will define life strategy as on of the factors why Eurasian people starts to adopt slow strategy. The study should focus on two strategy: Slow strategy and Fast Strategy and how does it affect the region of Eurasia and other civilizations.

What is world religion?

In this study, we will define world religion as a religious belief system which has become generally recognized as having independent status from any other religion, but which nonetheless may have many, sometimes mutually antagonistic, sects or denominations.

V. A Brief Literature Review

A few studies have shown that life strategies has something to do with religion. According to Benjamin Grant Purzycki and his group, One religious interpretation appeals to life history theory and predicting that individuals with “slow life history” strategies will be more attracted to moralistic traditions as a means to judge those with “fast life history” strategies. Life history theory offers evolutionary explanations for the timing of life events, with a particular focus on age-schedules of fertility and mortality and growth (Kim Hill 1999). to develop a model of life history theory it should  incorporates environmental influences, contextual influences, and heritable variation (MacDonald 1997).

The above researchers argue about how life strategies affect religion and how religion affects life strategies as a whole. The literature reviews however fall short as they fail to answer a few questions which this study paper will seek to outline. These are:

To what is the relation of both fast and slow strategy really affects religion.

How religion affects the beliefs of Eurasian regions.

VI. Objectives

To what is the relation of both fast and slow strategy really affects religion.

How religion affects the beliefs of Eurasian regions.

VII. Methodology

This will be a descriptive study analyzing the relation of life strategies in religion and how does it affects Eurasian people. The researchers will collect the data thru reading and scanning the past related literatures about this matter. All the collected data will be analyze and encoded in the future project.

Title: Engineering and Clinical Sociology as Applied Social Sciences Model

I. Introduction

There are growing appeals for Engineering and Clinical Sociology as a model for Applied Social Science Model. Recent theoretical developments have been revealed that there is but one type of, or one model for, applied social science. That model can be the Engineering and Clinical Sociology. It has been under observation on which model really fits the Applied Social Sciences.

II. Statement of the Problem

It is of interest to know whether the Engineering and Clinical Sociology can be a model of Applied Social Sciences. How come that Engineering and Clinical Sociology can be a model for DIASS? What makes it acceptable to be a model for DIASS? What is the correlation of Engineering and Clinical Sociology to Applied Social Sciences?

It is said to be that the two models (Engineering and Clinical Sociology) can shape the growth of the Applied Social Sciences. Can it be the main reason why does this two models are related to DIASS?

III. Value of the Study

PEÑA, PATRICIA ANNE GR. 12- SINCERITY HUMSS INTRODUCTION TO WORLD RELIGIONS AND BELIEF SYSTEMS https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4650154/ The nature and dynamics of world religions: a life-history approach           Religion is a human being’s relation to that which they regard as holy, sacred, spiritual, divine, or worthy of especial reverence. It could be associated to human behavior, the distinction between good and bad or right and wrong behavior. In this perspective, religious beliefs are not part of a life-history coordinated strategy per se. Rather, they are a set of beliefs that are pragmatically held by slow-life individuals to help them moralize fast-life behaviors. Several problems arise as a result of these historical events. Why did world religions emerge so late in human history and in such a few locations? Why did they exhibit the same extremely unique combination of close cooperation, limited sociosexuality, and delayed gra...
