MEGATRENDS AND CRITICAL THINKING IN THE 21ST CENTURY CULTURE

The Culture of 21st Century Education

We are now have different technologies that can help us learn easily and that can give us a easy access to everything like finding answers for you projects or assignments in internet. Today’s students are digital natives who learn and function differently in our technology-rich society. The role of education is to prepare us in our future career, achievement and contribution to society.

There are four C’s in 21st learning which are communication, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration. Those four C’s are really helpful now in our 21st learning because it can make our more presentable and we can exchange suggestion and ideas to our group mates and also to avoid misunderstanding. Teachers should have a good quality of teaching using technology to help their students excel in everything they desire. When applied properly, technology such as computers, mobile devices, and digital displays can complement the curriculum by assisting students as they gather information and share content. Traditional methods of education do not nurture the development of the skill sets needed to be successful knowledge workers. To best prepare students to thrive, 21st century learning models, standards, assessments, curriculum, instruction, professional development, and learning environments must all be aligned

As a student, we need to do everything we need to achieve what we want in the future and make a good achievement and contribution to society. In 21st model learning everything is possible just make a good use of it and never take advantage. Student like me will have a lot knowledge because of 21st model learning unlike the traditional methods where your knowledge have limits.

COMMUNITY, ENGAGEMENT, SOLIDARITY AND CITIZENSHIP

Community Engagement Matters

Community and Engagement are really connected to each other because it is a way of ensuring its citizens. Community engagement really plays a big role in making everything works perfectly fine and avoid taking a risk when something wrong happen.

Monique Baptiste-Good, director of SHCI said “We start with community and then engage established leaders. When we started, a critical decision was to operate like a campaign and not institutionalize as an organization. We fall to the background and push our partners’ capacity forward. Change happens at the pace people can adapt.” Leaders citizen should have a good relationship because they will make a decision together on what should they to make changes in their community. One of the biggest mistakes that social change leaders make is failing to differentiate between mobilizing and organizing. If leaders make a sudden changes it will cause chaos because what if those changers are really not applicable to others and might be inconvenient for them that’s why leaders and citizens should talk first before they decide. Community engagement is not easy work, but it is important work. “If you aren’t patient, you only get illusory change. Lasting change is not possible without community. You may be gone in 5 or 1o years, but the community will still be there. You need a sense of urgency to push the process forward and maintain momentum.” The tension between urgency and patience is a productive tension. Navigating that tension allows leaders and community members to achieve the right level of engagement.

Community engagement is really important because it is only the way where citizen can raise their issues and problems while leaders right and convenient for everyone.

Cultivating Convergence through Creative Nonfiction: Identity, Development, and the Metaphor of Transfer

Writing Transfer and Creative Non-Fiction Course That Plays In Development

Creative non-fiction course really play a big role to Danielle’s development as a student and to her academic performance that every professors really recognize her work. The writer really notice how Danielle development in everything even though at first it’s doubtful. Discussion of transfer saturates the discourse of composition and rhetoric and education theory, creative writing appears somewhat isolated from the exchange because institutional division between composition and creative writing curriculum as well as the social science orientation and lack of seat at the transfer table.

The author of his article admire Danielle’s development in everything because of creative non-fiction courses. Also the author uses the metaphor “coming together” that is a common way of describing the process of realizing a writer’s or person’s potential. Transfer the another metaphor with a different connotation that has dominated the field of education in general and composition particularly to explain how writers evolve. The author also considers the limits and implications of a transfer model to describe learning and also suggested an alternative that focuses more on development where creative non-fiction course might be particularly productive of such development. Danielle is the best example on how creative non-fiction courses really play a big role in evolving a writer. Student are being prepared to write multiple context to build on existing disciplinary knowledge.

Development comes in different method and way where the writer or student may adapt easily. We should choose a more convenient way or method for us to develop and be a better version of ourselves where we can show that we really can like what Danielle did, she surprise her mentor and other professor recognize her because of her works. We should explore beyond our limits.

PHILIPPINE POLITICS AND GOVERNANCE

Philippine Politics Under Duterte: A Midterm Assessment

President Rodrigo Duterte became the most internationally known Filipino Leader he is the President in the Philippines since the year of 2016. He is paid by the murderous war on the drugs as to his often crass and controversial statements. China, Philippines and the United States have a collaboration but Rodrigo Duterte he doesn’t want to be part in United State he wants the partnership to China.

Duterte hates the drugs, here in the Philippines there are a lot of drugs. Duterte want to stop the drugs but the people won’t. Even there are a lot who caught in drugs there are so many outsides in the city. This is the most problem because you have a lot you caught but there are still drugs. People won’t stop using drugs, why they can stop it and start a new life. Duterte always find a solution for drugs but the Filipo’s are so nasty they even care about their health and what the people say to them.

The Human Right and The democracy, Duterte administration assault it. The Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOs) should do the defend Democracy in America’s former colony. The discussion of America is extremely limited support and Duterte became the President and he offers suggestion for more robust response.

Duterte approach to politics and governing, the three aspects of contemporary Philippine politics is mixed record elite of democracy, the Benigno Aquino III administration, and the Particularities of the presidential collection.

Duterte when he sits at the President, The Philippines has a problem that Aquino is giving that position to the President, so Duterte he was doing finding a way to finish this problem but this is not easy there are a lot of work he will do before the process is ok. It’s like The Presidents, Political Elites and Oligarchs. The Aquino Government and Limits of Reformism. Duterte do that he will do his best to this and find a solution.

Duterte and the Promise of Real Change, He do his promise, he do what will be good for the country. He promise to change and be good as a leader and he work for it but there are so many people who hate him. He tries his best he does a lot of works in that case it is good because he do his job right. The world is messy but each of our country there are a leader who protect their own country and they give their best to do whatever they can.

PEÑA, PATRICIA ANNE GR. 12- SINCERITY HUMSS INTRODUCTION TO WORLD RELIGIONS AND BELIEF SYSTEMS https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4650154/ The nature and dynamics of world religions: a life-history approach           Religion is a human being’s relation to that which they regard as holy, sacred, spiritual, divine, or worthy of especial reverence. It could be associated to human behavior, the distinction between good and bad or right and wrong behavior. In this perspective, religious beliefs are not part of a life-history coordinated strategy per se. Rather, they are a set of beliefs that are pragmatically held by slow-life individuals to help them moralize fast-life behaviors. Several problems arise as a result of these historical events. Why did world religions emerge so late in human history and in such a few locations? Why did they exhibit the same extremely unique combination of close cooperation, limited sociosexuality, and delayed gra...
