The nature and dynamics of world religions: a life-history approach

INTRODUCTION:

The theory of life history explores how organisms adapt resources to the purpose of life. Recent studies have shown in particular that people, including people, adapt their life strategy to the environment through phänotypic plasticity In the modern world, on the other hand, religious concerns have declined in several places, like in China.

PURPOSE:

We examined a number of recent research and learned that world religions have a form of slow method.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This approach explains the pattern of world religions' spread: why they emerged so late in human history.

OBJECTIVE:

It attempts to clarify the advancement of slow behavior in modern world such as altruism, self-regulation, and monogenic. And the nation condemns 'Quick' behavior such as egoism, visible sexuality and materialism.

SUMMARY:

Current evidence should be reviewed with an in mind of the theory of history, and we can have an analytical query about the creation, rise and decline of the world religious.

DISCIPLINE AND IDEAS IN THE APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES

https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/56685084.pdf

INTRODUCTION:

The social science applied has changed with itself, Sociological theory grew quickly but in an experimental way, with little support traditionally from  the theorist, rather than applied science, which was focused on the needs of pure or fundamental studies. However, there's no such approach in the applied social  sciences Due to this lack, the very significance and character of applied social sciences remain elusive and the formulas are frequently reiterated reflectively.

PURPOSE:

This article aims to explain the core objective of applied social science and to understand their culture in order to communicate with people.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Applied social science needs principles for dealing with transformation, while pure social science is currently more geared towards analyzing cohesive systems in their balance. • The needs of an applied social science appear to be obvious, Not all of them have to cope above all with social transition.

OBJECTIVE:

Among some, any discouragement seems to have been based on social science, so it does not gain much ahead of pure science.

SUMMARY:

It's a very similar link between natural theoretical science and natural applied science. Applied science is still a composition of proposals that basically specializes of applying the information that is theoretical science to the practical questions that are not part of the practice of the arts.

MEGATRENDS AND CRITICAL THINKING IN THE 21ST CENTURY CULTURE

The Culture of 21st Century Education

Learning's job is to prepare us, as students, for active engagement, achievement, and contribution to society. Many of the job included manual labor, rote learning, and lecture-style instruction. In today's information culture, technology has redefined the skills required to prepare students for development. Employers find capability gaps and seek emerging talent with agile creative thinking as our global interconnected workforce transitions from business to service. Around the same time, today's students are digital individuals who read and behave differently in a technologically advanced environment. The standard educational approach has not evolved in order to teach a broader variety of skills that employers now want to encourage innovation.

The essay discusses how 21st-century schooling requires a diverse variety of comprehension and abilities that are critical to flexibility and adaptability. It relies on mastery skills such as interpretation, complex problem solving, and unity. Critical thinking, coordination, collaboration, and creativity are more relevant than the three Rs (reading, writing, and arithmetic). The four Cs listed in the article are required for us, students, to succeed in the near future. One recurring trend is that educators want their students to be able to succeed as engaged people, whether at work or in college. However, several occupations that we think are normal will change, decline, or disappear altogether over the next few years. This has been the case throughout history, as automation has made certain jobs obsolete, such as ice cutters, lampstands, switchboard controllers, and bowling alley pinsetters. However, the rate of change was never as rapid as it is today. In our personal lives, we must adhere to four C's. Teachers must collaborate with other educators all over the world through Google forums, Twitter conversations, and other means. We must be creative in our use of technology to teach our high-quality content and share our insights and tools.

As students, we need the knowledge and experience of self-directed, project-based learning, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate in diverse communities, in order to achieve success in the twenty-first century. Traditional teaching strategies do not motivate a successful employee to master the necessary skills. A learning community in the twenty-first century can thrive as universities combine mobility, technology, and practical knowledge.

COMMUNITY, ENGAGEMENT, SOLIDARITY AND CITIZENSHIP

https://ssir.org/articles/entry/community_engagement_matters_now_more_than_ever

Community Engagement Matters

For several years, I have observed that officials and planners have not specified the terminology, but are "urban" planners who are concerned with the environment and work hand in hand with the commercial real estate industry. The main issues are in the field of CED. The private sector employs public-sector terms, and vice versa. Also commercial chambers are becoming involved in "economic development" and "job creation." What's amazing is that I assumed the participants were commercial businesses looking to make a buck. Now it is time for the government to refrain from being property contractors, architects, and developers.

As mentioned in the report, local organizations have also built social capital in some cases to foster an environment conducive to data-driven operations. A community center that has encouraged active participation by parents, for example, may be a desirable tool for a data-driven effort to improve third-grade readings. Local agencies have, in some ways, built social capital that creates an environment conducive to successful data-driven initiatives. A community center that encourages strong parental participation, for example, can be a major factor in raising third-grade lecture grades. Rather than telling an official municipality or charity that they must protect their current grants because they lack evidence, funders should inform long-term grants that support would be tied to retooling in any way.

Many of us on the ground are still familiar with many of the solutions that are recycled in elite magazines and blogs; we need practical ideas that can be heard in the grassroots, but the campaign planning class must also be advised that they do not meet our culture's most pressing needs. There is no sense of urgency, nor are there physicians who are more aware of these challenges and shortcomings. Their focus is not in opposing viewpoints, their deliberations are opaque, and their policy decisions are much less accountable. Participation in the group is just a formality, with little real interaction.

CREATIVE NONFICTION

Cultivating Convergence through Creative Nonfiction: Identity, Development, and the Metaphor of Transfer

Though transition deliberation pervades the discourses of composition, rhetoric, and educational philosophy, creative writing is often left out of the dialogue. The typical structural division between composition and creative writing curricula, as well as the social science emphasis of most transfer rhetoric, which may seem incompatible with approaches to practicing and teaching creative writing, may account for creative writing's lack of a place at the transfer table.

The metaphor "coming together" used by the author in the essay is a natural one, and it's a traditional way of expressing the process of achieving a writer's ability. Another metaphor, perhaps with different connotations, that has dominated the field of education in general and composition studies in particular to describe how authors develop is, of course, "transfer." The author also considers the limitations and implications of using a transfer model to describe learning and proposes a different metaphor, convergence, that focuses on creation rather than transfer. Danielle's thoughts on the potential of storytelling to change her relationship with her curriculum and overall college experience suggest that the creative nonfiction course may be a particularly fruitful supporter of such development. As more academics and theorists have reflected on it, the idea of writing transition has evolved beyond our original comprehension and, more importantly, beyond what the word implies. According to the revised story, we overlooked instances of change because our limited templates neglected to prepare for the phenomenon's complexities.

As a result, I conclude that the idea of creation often confounds this structure, resembling a protean stew rather than a discernible series, particularly when considering over-determined and inter-relational subjectivity, as well as "the recursive life of evolving persons and social organizations."

CREATIVE WRITING

Why Writing Matters

Why Writing Matters is a beautiful acknowledgement of one exceptional person's achievements. It is also a heartfelt expression of one man's love of language and the art and craft of literature. It's a project inspired by a conviction in the transformative potential of language, as well as the profound personal, cultural, and historical changes they can bring about. As a piece of prose, it is an outstanding example of what it preaches. Every word is chosen with respect, and each sentence is exquisitely constructed.

Why Writing Matters weaves together Delbanco's intimate encounters of writing, mentors, and students. Delbanco begins with one of the most powerful reasons for literature: "spoken dialogue may not have survived until the invention of writing." Despite being a great way to use memory, oral transmission is "open to forgetfulness or modification." While the oral tradition was great, writing has a longer lifespan. Writing, whether on paper or on a clay tablet, promotes the exchange of cultures and acts as a way of imagining the future and retaining historical facts. Writing enables us to connect with people who are not physically alive, and literary culture and literature enables us to communicate with people who lived a long time ago. In his section on imitation, Delbanco emphasizes that apprenticeship has been the preferred way of learning for many trades. "However, to emulate is not to be derivative; it is merely to accept that we benefit from what others have done," he adds. "No one seems to be unique when studying scales, how to use a grindstone, or where the comma fits in a dependent clause." We learn by imitating others. Delbanco launched into a lengthy explanation of the distinction between parody and outright plagiarism. He explained this not only by using real-life scenarios as case studies, but he also addressed some insightful writing assignments he had set for his own students, such as editing a single chapter in an author's work in the style of another author.

Since Why Writing Matters is not intended for those who have never written before, knowing what Delbanco is saying about having a more reflective and complex writing style necessitates some prior knowledge of the craft. Anyone who enjoys and reads often will enjoy this book because learning the mechanisms that underpin writing will maximize their enjoyment of a well-written book.

The Conversation partners on £2m research-policy project to mitigate COVID-19 pandemic’s social impacts

The COVID-19 pandemic is a global emergency that requires a deep, research-based response. It has been at the forefront of educating and demonstrating the virus's latest science to the public since the first alleged case was identified. The IPPO will build bridges between policy and science, with a focus on mitigating the most severe social effects of COVID-19 and hastening the UK's recovery.

The article addressed how IPPO would provide UK policymakers with easy access to tools, proofs, and analysis of global COVID-19 policy responses. This will allow them to make smarter decisions on how to cope with the pandemic's immediate social, fiscal, and public health consequences. It will also educate the UK about how the pandemic responds and recovers, which will benefit the population in general, especially vulnerable and at-risk communities. . It also announced that IPPO would focus on a broad variety of policy areas, including education, mental health and well-being, online living, adult care facilities and social care, and housing, neighborhoods, and solidarity. Excessive effects on BAME groups must also be treated. “The COVID-19 pandemic has presented governments around the world with unparalleled problems. The breadth and urgency of evidence they need is constantly expanding, and if it is not readily available, it poses yet another barrier to developing the steps we need to assist society in dealing with the effects of COVID-19.”

Overall, it will contain new information and policy "living charts" on a regular basis to help reduce the vast number of COVID-19 social science and policy answers. This offers a searchable scientific archive relevant to COVID-19 policy decisions and direct access to the most recent findings, and it is much more critical that they engage regularly to address the pandemic's impacts and global threats, and to ensure that world-leading science is able to further inform its reaction, aid recovery, and enhance its resilience.

PHILIPPINE POLITICS AND GOVERNANCE

https://carnegieendowment.org/2019/01/10/philippine-politics-under-duterte-midterm-assessment-pub-78091

Philippine Politics Under Duterte: A Midterm Assessment

Rodrigo R. Duterte, the most nationally respected Filipino leader since Ferdinand Marcos' infamous dictatorship, and Corazon Aquino, an iconic housewife turned president, were both champions of democracy reconstruction in 1986, within weeks of his election as President of the Philippines in June 2016. Duterte's murderous drug war, as well as his often crass and controversial remarks, have gained extensive media attention. His acceptance of China and visceral disdain for the United States have attracted additional attention in foreign policy circles, and he is often mentioned in the press and in science articles on the rise of populism around the world.

The Duterte administration's record on civil rights and democracy is undeniably alarming. It has shattered civil rights, its political opponents, and the world's democratic institutions. The combination of the Philippines' dominant presidency and the rest of its political institutions results in significant democratic reversal. However, dwelling solely on Duterte ignores two more critical factors: the degree of nominally legal erosion and the minimal leverage exerted to date by individuals and organizations opposed to power rule. To understand Duterte's approach to politics and governance, three facets of contemporary Philippine politics must be recognized. The key goals are combating illegal drugs and crime, accelerating infrastructure construction, maintaining and sustainable economic growth, promoting peace and development in Mindanao, and reorienting Philippine foreign relations. According to the report, the US urges the Philippine government to take all necessary measures to stop the killing of illegal immigrants and to collaborate with the international community to prosecute and hold the perpetrators accountable for all related killings.

Looking ahead, it is likely that the elites and other parties will continue to battle for dominance, while those who believe in the democratic desirability will fight for themselves, like the erroneous version practiced in the Philippines. The best-case scenario is a steady reassertion of controls and balance as public support for Duterte declines, the Philippine democracy becomes more widely known, and its anti-democratic policies become more uniform and successful.

It could be associated to human behavior, the distinction between good and bad or right and wrong behavior. In this perspective, religious beliefs are not part of a life-history coordinated strategy per se. Rather, they are a set of beliefs that are pragmatically held by slow-life individuals to help them moralize fast-life behaviors. Several problems arise as a result of these historical events. Why did world religions emerge so late in human history and in such a few locations? Why did they exhibit the same extremely unique combination of close cooperation, limited sociosexuality, and delayed gra...
